The Dirty Picture

Oh guys don’t get mistaken, its not about the Silk Smitha or Vidhya Balan showing her oomphness. Its just about the 10km stretch I drive everyday to reach my office.

Life is so fast and no time wait for no man, so we are. Nobody really has time not even an extra two minutes. This is the same case with me also, am not an exception. As in some movie says “ I don’t have anything to do going there but I don’t have time to stay here”.

Why there is no patience in us to spend that extra two minutes?. May be this is true in my case also. Some days when am really late those two minutes seems an hour just like the movie Inception. But many a days I use to have that patience. It also depends on what I drive. When am on my bike I don’t have the patience to wait but when am on my car I have it more than required. Is it just because I am worried about the glassy finish of my car’s painting. May be yes.

But the scene over the 10km stretch is amazing.

A motorist speeding thru the traffic and he just banged another motorist. BANGG.. what next??? They stared each other and then.. Checking at their bikes and then.. There comes a sorry from the speeder. That’s the end of the story. WTF.. Reason you really don’t have time to argue over the damage and the guys behind you is honking left and right.

I was on bike with my lady behind and it was a pretty traffic bounded day. I was moving slowly to find a safe route. Suddenly an auto guy banged behind me and I fell off. My hand was just under the wheel of a car and that guy just put a hard break. And the best part was, I managed to get up to see the auto guy abusing me as if I banged him from behind. I looked at him and he was a Swami and suddenly I got my patience back. I kept quiet and went from there. Really don’t understand why these guys are going as a pilgrim if his attitude is like this.

Just two minutes. Why don’t we have that 120secs patience in us?. Just in that rush we are making damages across. But who cares right. But then what about the scratches you made over the cars, the dents behind the vehicle you hit and all other causalities. Who  gonna pay all that?. Again the same question, who cares??.

Everyday I feel I am seeing a dirty picture in that 30mins drive. Is it gonna change or are we trying to change?. Answer will be a big NO.

We are all part of that dirty picture and we do act in it everyday.

The Big Five years......

When I get this question inside I just went thru my entire five years of journey in corporate.

It was amazing and challenging.

When we attended the interviews in college and when they asked what you want to be after five years definitely I don’t had a clue that time.

But all went well in the last five years by God’s grace.

I started in Berger Paints along with my classmates and I don’t know if I missed someone here, if so sorry.

Amazing start with a bunch of experienced senior fellas in the office and never expected kind of job.

My career started as a Sales Representative and now a Regional Manager.

The journey got a lot of ups and downs but believed in the theory “Survival of the fittest” and it worked for me. Always tried to be the fittest to survive among competition.

A walkthrough as below,

Year 1 : Realization of the corporate world. MBA is not all about the white collar job If you are not an IIM

Year 2 : The break through. All new challenge. The lone warrior in the market

Year 3 : MBA paid back making me an Assistant Manager

Year 4 : Manager on a Regional role

Year 5 : Regional Manager – South & West

Year 6 : Journey continues……..

Dream big and sky is always the limit……

So guys where you find yourself after ten years?.

LOL that’s a funny question to answer now.

Forget the yesterdays

Live today at the moment

And tomorrow – Lets see when it is tomorrow..

Cheers my friends and all the best..!!!!!
